On 12th September 2025 \u2013 N\u2019Faly Kouyat\u00e9 \u2013 will release his highly anticipated new album \u2018FINISHING\u2019.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Following a successful UK tour in early 2024 for his \u2018R\u00e9-G\u00e9n\u00e9ration\u2019 EP, the release of \u2018FINISHING\u2019 marks a major milestone in N\u2019Faly Kouyat\u00e9\u2019s journey and one that will be accompanied by a second run of\u00a0nationwide shows\u00a0<\/strong>in the UK.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Taking place between 12th November to 23rd November this year, N\u2019Faly and his band will be performing in\u00a010 venues across the UK<\/strong>, with dates in\u00a0York, Exeter, Stroud, Portsmouth, Leicester, London<\/strong>\u00a0and beyond. Upcoming album \u2018FINISHING<\/strong>\u2019 is a profoundly personal and universal work from the Avant-Garde Griot. Promising a powerful and true artistic manifesto, crafted in the intimacy of Siguiri, Guinea, that invites audiences to lose themselves in its sound. As\u00a0N\u2019Faly Kouyat\u00e9\u00a0<\/strong>explains of the record:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019FINISHING\u2019 is my musical answer to a world searching for meaning\u2026 It is the echo of my ancestors carried by today\u2019s rhythms, a call to reflection and action. I wanted every note to be a question, every chorus a step towards a fairer, more conscious future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Conceived during nine months of lockdown by the Bafing River, the album is the fruit of deep introspection. With N\u2019Faly Kouyat\u00e9 posing a fundamental question:\u00a0\u201cWhat if all the ills of society \u2013 war, theft, lies, violence \u2013 suddenly ceased?\u201d<\/em>\u00a0This album is his musical answer, a five-language dialogue (Mandingue, Soussou, Pular, French, English) that prompts listeners into reflecting on the challenges of our time, without ever neglecting the call of rhythm.<\/p>\n

With each track on \u2018FINISHING\u2019 offering a fragment of this humanistic quest, tracks like\u00a0\u201cFree Water\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(feat. Tiken Jah Fakoly) stand as a vibrant plea for water protection, whereas\u00a0\u201cKhili Kan\u00e8\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0forcefully denounces slander.\u00a0\u201cMandela\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0pays poignant tribute to its eponymous icon of reconciliation, while\u00a0\u201cKolabana\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(feat. Didier Awadi) critiques on the lack of engagement in the face of global emergencies. Elsewhere tracks like\u00a0\u201cM\u00f6kh\u00f6ya\u201d<\/strong>,\u00a0\u201cHalala\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cKawa\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0explore the loss of mutual aid, dignity, and the value of humility respectively.<\/p>\n
